The Sisters' Values

Values

The characteristic virtues that we commit ourselves to live are:

Joy in Sacrifice: We joyfully serve the poorest of the poor—as they define their needs, their Project—using our own lives, charismas and the mission of our Congregation to take risks passionately and courageously for the sake of their Project.

Incarnate Prayer: We live prayer as an experience of personal encounter with God who lives in us, loves us freely and calls us to interiority. In prayer we receive from the Spirit of God the grace both to discover God in all creation and to proclaim the Good News of the Gospel by discerning the voices of God in history.

Universal Communion: We work to be women—integrated in who we are and in what we do—who are capable of bringing people together in community through supportive and responsible teamwork. Our life of unity must be manifested both within our Congregation and in the People of God.

Freedom and Responsibility: We forgo forming an individual family. Instead, we embrace our Congregation as our family where inclusion, dialogue, service, forgiveness and interdependence will dispose us to give ourselves totally to our mission, especially in service to the poorest of the poor. God who loves us, calls us to serve with freedom, generosity, humility and joy.

Commitment to Justice: We stand in solidarity with those who suffer, with an attitude of loving service that embraces working for justice.
